The Most Reliable Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) in Connecticut
The world’s events continue to change aspects of our lives, but access to healthcare is as important as ever. Patients that are unable to transport themselves for various reasons rely on Non-emergency medical transportation to get to their regular appointments, tests, treatments or procedures.
What is Non-Emergency Medical Transportation?
Non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) is defined as transportation services provided to patients that need a little extra help to get to and from medical appointments. NEMT is a more cost-effective and appropriate means of transportation when compared to ambulances that are suited for patients in emergency situations that require emergency medical technicians (EMTs) and life-saving equipment.
How M7 Addresses NEMT Needs
M7 proudly serves as the largest volume NEMT Medicaid transportation provider in the State of Connecticut, providing Non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) to patients and medical establishments that have high demands for transportation.
Whether a fully independent patient, or a patient requiring wheelchair-accessible and paratransit transportation, M7 is dedicated to providing comfortable, safe, and fully sanitized rides to ensure patients never miss an appointment. Rides are available 24/7 all-year round, tailored for non-medical, independent traveling to and from your home.

Patients, their families, or medical providers can easily book, track, and pay for rides by calling (203) 777-7777, booking online, or downloading the M7 Ride Mobile App.
The Encompass Program – Discounted Rates for Seniors & Persons with Disabilities
M7’s Encompass Program provides seniors over 60 years of age and persons with disabilities with highly discounted rates of $5 for the first eight miles traveled ($2/additional mile). Through a partnership between M7 and the Greater Hartford Transit District (GHTD), and a grant from the Federal Transit Administration (FTA), the communities hit hardest by the pandemic are given better access to transportation, and consequently they are able to independently make it to their medical appointments, get groceries and stay healthy.
Those Who Qualify
The Encompass Program is currently limited to those that reside in one of the following towns:
Berlin, Cromwell, East Hartford, Farmington, Hartford, Meriden, Middletown, New Britain, Newington, Plainville, Rocky Hill, South Windsor, West Hartford, and Wethersfield
Those who are above the age of 60 or have proof of disabilities are eligible for the Encompass program, where they can simply apply online. All trip payments are conveniently done online, and up to three passengers may ride for the price of one. For more information on our Encompass Program, call (860) 444-4444 for 24/7 customer service.
